City of Tallahassee may back out of eminent domain lawsuit over proposed Circle K development

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – About three weeks after Circle K rejected the City of Tallahassee’s offer to buy land from the gas station in a Northeast Tallahassee neighborhood, city staff are recommending against an eminent domain lawsuit with the company.

Nearly ten months ago, Circle K announced plans to build a gas station in the Canopy neighborhood near Welaunee Boulevard and Dempsey Mayo Road.
