9th ranked Florida State wins over 15th ranked Virginia Tech in ACC Softball

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — 15th ranked Virginia Tech fell to 9th ranked Florida State, 13-4, on Friday night at Tech Softball Park.

Florida State scored in each of the first three innings to take an early 4-0 lead. With the bases loaded in the top of the third for the Seminoles, Cassie Grizzard forced a groundout to second to get the Hokies out of the jam.

A single by Rachel Castine and a 10-pitch walk by Annika Rohs got runners on first and second for Cori McMillan, who drilled a single to right center field for the RBI single to cut the deficit to 4-1.
