AMELIA ISLAND — Amid the fierce winds of change that are constantly altering the college sports landscape, the waters here at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island might be calmer than usual for the ACC this week.
The Atlantic Coast Conference’s annual spring meetings are kicking off at this beachside resort Monday afternoon, and for the first time in years, there are no lawsuits — or looming threats of departures — among the member schools.
Florida State and Clemson settled their lawsuits with the ACC in March, and both schools appear to be satisfied — at least for now — with the changes in distribution of conference television revenue. According to sources, FSU, Clemson and one or two other schools could soon receive more than $15 million per year more than previously allocated, while some others will receive several million dollars less…
