Police use pepper balls, K-9 during standoff Thursday to capture shooting suspect in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) – A police standoff Thursday led to the arrest of a man authorities say is connected to an overnight shooting that left one injured, according to the Thomasville Police Department.

Darius Jackson, 42, was arrested Thursday after allegedly barricading himself in an apartment. TPD says he is facing 11 charges related to the standoff and a shooting that happened just before midnight Wednesday at the Villa North Apartments.

Police said Thursday that they zeroed in on Jackson and traced him down to Wood Valley Complex, which is just a three-minute drive from the site of the shooting…
