Jackson County man charged in Gadsden County shooting death, FDLE says

A Jackson County man has been arrested and charged in the murder of a Gadsden County resident, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Tamarick D. Jackson, 18, of Sneads, faces charges of first-degree murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle in what appeared to be an attempted robbery-turned-murder. The news was announced in a June 16 news release.

The investigation began May 9 after the Gretna Police Department (GPD) received a call reporting a dead man in a ditch in front of a residence, a heavily-redacted probable cause affidavit said. Police responded and later asked for FDLE’s investigative and forensic help…
