FDLE: AHCA building cleared after bomb threat reported Wednesday afternoon

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) building on Mahan Drive was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after receiving a threat.

A spokesperson from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said the situation unfolded when an AHCA employee received a call from a suspect who made a bomb threat toward the building.

“FDLE’s Capitol Police responded with explosive ordinance disposal [EOD] and K9 teams to clear the building, verifying that there was no threat to the safety of the AHCA staff,” according to the FDLE spokesperson…
