FHP: One injured after commercial truck hauling cars overturns on I-10 Friday afternoon

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A man is hospitalized with a serious head injury after a semi-truck hauling cars veered off the road and overturned on Interstate-10 Friday afternoon, according to FHP Master Cpl. Patricia Jefferson-Shaw.

The crash unfolded near mile marker 221 at about 4 p.m., according to FHP.

Florida 511 traffic cameras showed a car flipped on its side, and another vehicle appeared to have crushed the guardrail. It is unclear whether the two vehicles were being transported by the semi-truck.

Westbound lanes shut down after the crash as law enforcement investigated the scene, and the vehicles were towed. The lanes are now fully reopened…
