TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – All we can do is wait on and hope for the scattered showers to provide some relief from all the humid and hot. Our chances for the showers remain high, but it’s still not a guarantee that everyone gets them. The official rain gauge at the Tallahassee Airport hasn’t picked up anything measurable in July, so the deficit is growing fast. A 60% chance to get showers is still a 40% chance to miss the showers.
Over the next few days, we are likely to see the temperatures rise a bit in the afternoons with more breaks in the clouds and more hazy sunshine while we wait for the showers to work their magic. Mid 90s Thursday, and likely into the upper 90s by the beginning of next week. Mix in all that humidity and it’ll be dangerous heat index values closer to 110 in spots.
Think cool thoughts, and come on showers!…
