Jefferson County commission discusses insurance fraud allegations against former HR director

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – It was standing room only with a line out the door at the Jefferson County commission meeting Thursday evening, as most of the discussion centered around the former human resource director who resigned due to allegations of insurance fraud.

Chairman Austin Hosford described the allegations as serious and motioned to draft a letter to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate the former HR director. That motion was passed unanimously.

“This board should take action, in my opinion, and if we don’t, we are complicit in this,” Hosford said. “We need to turn this over to the proper authorities to investigate.”…
