TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Bill Geiger, a Tallahassee veteran who served in the U.S. Army for 20 years from 1994 to 2014, joined dozens of vets Thursday for a three-day bike ride through New York City and Long Island.
Hosted by the Wounded Warrior Project, the goal of the three-day event is to raise awareness for veteran needs and to give vets a space where they can socialize while being physically active. Participants will be provided bikes suited to their physical needs to ensure veterans facing limitations can also participate.
