Tallahassee, Florida – Extreme heat will push real-feel temperatures near 114° Monday, July 28, as Florida faces a dangerous summer weather alert stretching into the evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a Heat Advisory remains in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. EDT Monday, with an Extreme Heat Watch also posted through Monday evening for the Florida Big Bend and portions of South Georgia. Temperatures in the capital city are expected to hit 100°F, while heat index values may top 112°F in some areas.
The worst conditions will impact inland counties along I-10, including Gadsden, Leon, and Jefferson, as well as cities like Monticello, Quincy, and Crawfordville.
