🚨FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY | Feels-like temperatures will be dangerous over the next few days

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – An Extreme heat watch has been issued for the Big Bend and South Georgia in anticipation of feels-like temperatures reaching 115 Monday afternoon.

The WCTV First Alert Weather team is issuing a First Alert Weather day for Monday, July 28 for extremely dangerous heat during the afternoon.

Nearing a record high this afternoon

High pressure will keep the area dry and mostly sunny and HOT throughout your Sunday. A few spots, like yesterday may luck out with a shower or two along the sea breeze. However, the majority of North Florida and South Georgia will need to jump in the pool to cool off this afternoon.

The high this afternoon should be around 100. The record high in Tallahassee for today is 99 set back in 2006. The heat index of feels like temperature will be as high as 110 this afternoon.

Monday will be the hottest over the next 7 days. I expect a high in the low 100s, but with moisture slowly working back into the area, feels-like temperatures will top out around 115 for many spots on Monday afternoon.
