TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Another day with air temperatures that can get to 100 degrees, and heat index values that can get near 110 degrees. That’s why the entire area has a HEAT ADVISORY again, and a couple of our eastern counties (Hamilton & Echols) have EXTREME HEAT WARNINGS today, where it’s expected the heat index values get even higher.
Limited showers and more sunshine under the influence of that big are of higher pressure that’s very slowly moving west. Winds today will be pretty light and still from the north, which makes it hard for the sea breeze to generate the afternoon showers we rely on this time of year. Those winds should start shifting back to the east and southeast and even south for Tuesday & Wednesday, to help re-ignite those needed afternoon showers and cool things down a little…
