The college coaching career of Mike Norvell has been quite the roller coaster so far. The head coach at Florida State won 13 games in 2023 and then two games in 2024. There were not a lot of expectations outside of Tallahassee coming into the 2025 season, and the Seminoles absolutely buried No. 9-ranked Alabama.
The Seminoles never trailed in the game, leading 17-7 at halftime, and held the Crimson Tide to just 10 second-half points to win 31-17. Following the game, the crowd stormed the field and became the first team in the Atlantic Coast Conference to receive a fine for the celebration.
