The MLK Foundation of Florida is celebrating its 40th anniversary with Hall of Fame inductions and a special achievement for their director, Steve Beasley.
“This milestone is not only a celebration of our history but also a recommitment to the dream,” Beasley said in a prepared statement. “We invite the community, supporters and partners to join us as we honor our past and look forward to the future.”
Founded in 1985, the Florida Martin Luther King, Jr. Foundation has “worked diligently to preserve and advance Dr. King’s vision of equality, justice, and opportunity for all,” according to event organizers. In addition to organizing the annual MLK Day Celebration with Leon County, the Foundation offers “educational programs, youth empowerment initiatives, and community outreach projects that continue to impact lives throughout Florida and beyond.”…
