– The National Weather Service Tallahassee forecasts showers and thunderstorms for the Florida Big Bend and far south Georgia on Friday, September 26, 2025. A cold front will bring numerous showers and storms, with locally heavy rain possible, but flood concerns are low as much of this rainfall should be beneficial given ongoing drought conditions.
Meteorologists anticipate rainfall amounts ranging from a quarter to a half inch areawide, with isolated amounts over 1 inch. There is a 10% chance of exceeding 2 inches along the Northeast Gulf Coast and west of I-75.
