Grocery stores decide whether to allow customers to open carry after new law takes effect

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After a Florida appeals court ruled an open carry ban unconstitutional, some grocery stores are allowing patrons to carry firearms inside the building, while others aren’t.

With the open carry law in effect, Floridians can carry firearms in public, openly or concealed. However, law enforcement across the Big Bend and in Tallahassee said private property owners can accept or deny open carry on their property.
