Missing 80-year-old woman found alive after days-long search in Wakulla County, sheriff’s office says

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – An 80-year-old woman in Wakulla County who was declared missing earlier this week has been found alive, according to a Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

Ellen Abernathy Ashdown was last seen Wednesday afternoon after she went for a walk on River Sink Road and did not return home, according to the sheriff’s office.

However, the WCSO spokesperson told WCTV Friday afternoon that the 80-year-old has been found a “considerable distance” from the home.
