TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A mistrial was declared on Thursday in the case of a Tallahassee woman accused of the death of her three-year-old child.
The jury deliberated for nearly 8 hours before telling the judge they could not reach a unanimous verdict. The judge declared a mistrial, and the State said it will try the case again.
Cameren Evans was on trial, facing aggravated manslaughter charges for the 2023 death of her son. An autopsy showed the toddler died after ingesting fentanyl.
