Man accused of threatening Florida synagogue shot, killed by law enforcement

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A man who was accused of making threats against a Florida synagogue was shot and killed by law enforcement officers while they were serving an arrest warrant Thursday.

The suspect, Ali Ihsan Bayhan, of Gainesville, was linked to a bomb threat that was reported Wednesday at Temple Israel in Tallahassee, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

Authorities said they searched the temple and did not find any explosives. An investigation ensued, and an arrest warrant was obtained for Bayhan the following day.
