Wakulla County couple launches curbside recycling after county ends program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Wakulla County couple is marking one month of a new curbside recycling service they launched after the county ended its recycling program in September.

Amanda Rei and her husband started Rei’s Recycling after learning Waste Pro would no longer provide recycling pickup.

“Most people felt disappointed,” Rei said, adding that many residents struggled with the county’s new requirement to bring materials to the landfill. “That’s hard, not only for the elderly and disabled, but the working people.”…
