On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 6:09 p.m., the Blountstown Police Department responded to Calhoun Liberty Hospital regarding a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel, the victim, age 27, was pronounced deceased at the hospital according to Blountstown Police Chief Mark Mallory.
Through interviews with witnesses at the hospital, investigators determined that the shooting occurred at Cooper’s Park in Blountstown. Officers from the Blountstown Police Department, assisted by deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff ’s Office, conducted a thorough search of the area.
