A 74-year-old Tallahassee woman is dead and a 23-year-old Thomasville, Georgia, woman is critically injured after a wrong-way collision in northern Leon County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. on Dec. 4 on Thomasville Road, just south of Iamonia Cut-Off Road, a news release said. It’s about a mile from the Georgia state line.
Troopers said a 2014 BMW crossover SUV, driven by the Tallahasseean, was traveling south, but in the northbound lane on Thomasville Road. A 2020 BMW sedan, driven by the Georgia resident, was traveling north. The two vehicles collided head-on. (FHP does not identify crash victims in news releases.)…
