TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida man has pleaded guilty to stealing government funds, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida announced on Tuesday.
According to court documents, Anthony C. Brewer, 47, agreed to serve as a fiduciary under the Department of Veteran Affairs’ fiduciary program to manage the money of an individual who was unable to manage their own benefits.
The court says as part of the agreement, the defendant agreed to use the funds for the care, support, health, welfare, comfort and desires of the beneficiary.
