TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County Schools announced its 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year Monday.
Kenneth Horne, who the school district said “has been a steady and valued educator at William J. Montford III Middle School since 2013,” was announced as the teacher of the year in a social media post by LCS Monday.
LCS officials said Horne’s professional journey shows a “deep love for history, culture, and storytelling.”
“His experience outside the classroom has always helped students connect history to real lives and real places,” the school district said. “The classroom feels more alive because he brings so much of himself into the learning environment.”…
