QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) – Court records revealed new details Wednesday that prompted the recent arrest of former Quincy City Manager and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Director Rob Nixon.
The 15-page probable cause affidavit comes just a day after Nixon was taken into custody after authorities served a search warrant at his home in Quincy. He was arrested on 16 felony charges, including grand theft, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, forgery, uttering and official misconduct.
Nixon is accused of using his position to funnel over $30,000 into his business, Monterrey’s Cigar Social, between May 2022 and April 2023.
The court documents went on to reveal that Nixon allegedly falsified the purpose of payments to a construction company, categorizing them “under other unrelated approved CRA projects on Monroe Street, when actually the money went toward renovating Nixon’s cigar lounge on Jefferson Street.”…
