Residents of Tallahassee, FL, should prepare for a rainy and potentially stormy Sunday as the National Weather Service issues a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather in the Tri-State area. The greatest potential for severe storms is expected in the southeastern portion of the state, including the Florida Panhandle and parts of southeast Alabama.

The storms, which are forecast to begin Sunday and extend into Sunday night, could bring isolated strong wind gusts between 40-60 mph. While the risk of tornadoes is considered low, there is a chance for 1-2 tornadoes to develop. The National Weather Service has advised that these storms could bring some localized hazards, but widespread severe weather is not expected…
