Amid a stubborn severe drought, this weekend’s forecast finally brings a hint of relief, with the National Weather Service Tallahassee expecting “beneficial rain” along with a low chance of severe weather on Sunday, Feb. 15.
There’s a 60% to 80% chance of more than an inch of rain coming to the area, NWS Tallahassee said. Isolated severe storms have the potential to bring “damaging gusts,” and a “tornado or two cannot be ruled out.”
“This is all thanks to a cold front forecast to swing through the region Sunday into Sunday night,” NWS Tallahassee said. “A line of showers and thunderstorms, a few strong, are forecast to accompany the front.”…
