Tallahassee, Florida – Much-needed rainfall swept across the Florida Panhandle and south Georgia on Sunday, delivering widespread totals between one-half inch and one inch, with isolated heavier bands topping 3 inches.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, no community missed out entirely as steady rain moved through from Saturday night into Sunday. Observations show Albany received 1.51 inches, Valdosta measured 1.34 inches, and Tallahassee Regional Airport recorded 1.08 inches. Heavier pockets developed in parts of the region, with Apalachicola picking up 1.66 inches and Mayo leading the listed sites with 1.87 inches over four days…
