TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team fell on the road in three matches Saturday afternoon against No. 18 Georgia State, CSU-Bakersfield and No.8 Florida State.
SLU (0-5) suffered three losses after returning to the sand on day two of the Florida State Unconquered Invitational. The Lady Lions opened the day falling 5-0 against Georgia State (4-1). The Tigers held all the momentum throughout all five sets as Southeastern could not overcome the deficit against its first nationally ranked opponent.
Southeastern battled to stay within reach against CSU Bakersfield (1-4), but could not capitalize down the stretch of the match to force the upset. The Lady Lions dropped a 3-2 decision against the Roadrunners as Mia McKinney and Mia Sauers showcased a solid performance with a 21-9, 21-17 victory on court two.
