Notre Dame emerges as a top contender for a top QB target for the Seminoles

Florida State only has five commitments in its 2027 recruiting class. The coaching staff brought many prospects to campus in January as an effort to create lasting relationships. The Seminoles have scheduled many recruits for the summer, and the target board is starting to shape up nicely.

Recruits across the country generally like to commit to a school of their choosing in the summer, where they can focus primarily on their senior seasons. We all know that flips and de-commitments occur, but it seems to be a better choice to have them in the class than at another school.

The best prospect in the Seminoles’ 2027 recruiting class is four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams from Ruskin, Florida. He is viewed as a top-150 recruit by 247Sports Composite rankings. However, the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes are heavily recruiting him as well. That isn’t the only issue that the Seminoles face as they try to field a top-ten recruiting class.
