‘Nowhere to go’: Tallahassee apartment residents scrambling after fire code violations trigger evacuation order

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – An apartment complex in Tallahassee is now telling tenants to pack up and leave over safety concerns.

Just four days ago, a note was posted at Terra Lake Heights apartments that told residents they had just days to move out due to safety issues with some floors, and problems with the fire alarm and sprinkler systems.

The Tallahassee Fire Department told WCTV that after inspections, they found safety issues in all four buildings at the apartment complex. TFD said they worked with the property manager for about a week, but after no progress, they moved to the next step…
