‘Missy’s life mattered’: Neighbor praises passage of bill named after 5-year-old killed in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Missy’s Law is now on its way to the governor’s desk after the Florida Senate passed the bill by a unanimous vote Wednesday night.

The bill would require convicted sex offenders to remain in jail until sentencing.

The legislation is named after 5-year-old Missy Mogle. Tallahassee police say she died after being abused by her mother and stepfather in their Southwood home in May 2025…
