Isa Torres proves she’s not of this planet with a record setting performance

Florida State junior shortstop Isa Torres had a career night and nearly beat Coastal Carolina by herself in a 20-8 win Friday night. The game was much closer, as FSU found itself in an early deficit and tied 8-8 in the sixth inning.

However, the Noles exploded for 12 runs over the final two innings to secure the win. Isa Torres set a single-game record with six hits. She went 6-6 with a double and four RBI, and also scored three runs. She became only the third Nole to have five hits in a game and broke the record with her double in the seventh inning.
