‘Trying to make the best of it’: The Lunchbox to reopen Thursday after car crashes into restaurant

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Lunchbox restaurant in Tallahassee will reopen later this week, after a car crashed into the side of it on Monday.

Owner David Raney said he is hard at work on repairs so the diner can reopen on Thursday.

“This is the second time in 27 years that this has happened, which is a little unusual because it’s definitely a freak accident,” Raney said. “We’re trying to make the best of it, we want to get back open for our community. We’ve had tons of support, tons of local regulars here, and it’s just a staple for our community. We just don’t want to be shut down any more than we have to.”
