TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A lawsuit filed by Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare against a former patient who had refused to leave the hospital for months is coming to an end, according to newly filed court records.
Court documents filed this week show Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare submitted a notice to voluntarily dismiss the case against the woman, who was officially discharged from the hospital five months ago.
The lawsuit, filed at the beginning of the month, said the woman was discharged Oct. 6, 2025, but refused to leave and remained in Room 373. Court documents alleged the hospital made multiple attempts to safely discharge her, including coordinating with family members…
