TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Firefighters responded to two separate residential fires within hours of each other Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday morning, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
The first fire was reported at approximately 3:36 p.m. on April 1 at a multi-residential building on Ocala Road. Crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a second-floor unit of a two-story apartment complex. Firefighters quickly began suppression efforts while conducting searches of the affected unit and nearby apartments.
Officials confirmed all residents were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. However, one dog was found deceased inside the apartment. The fire was contained to the original unit, with no extension to other areas of the building…
