Jefferson Co. residents crowd Tuesday meeting over concerns tied to nearby cannabis plant

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – Jefferson County residents packed the county courthouse annex for a special meeting Tuesday evening about recent concerns stemming from the Trulieve facility.

Two weeks ago, Trulieve was given notice that it is not complying with its environmental permit.

“What we will not accept is a business model that comes at the expense of the people who live here,” said District 4 Commissioner Austin Hosford. “There are very real concerns in my opinion that have not been adequately addressed.”…
