Tampa Traffic Alert: Water Main Break Triggers Habana Avenue Traffic Shakeup Through Friday

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa drivers are hitting a new bottleneck on North Habana Avenue today. Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, city crews shut down the northbound lane between West Silver Lake Avenue and West Waters Avenue to tackle an emergency water main repair.

The Tampa Water Department stated that traffic will not be completely blocked off. Instead, northbound drivers are being redirected into the left-turn lane, allowing vehicles to keep moving in both directions through the work zone.

City workers have already deployed barricades and directional signs to guide drivers safely through the area. Local officials are asking commuters to slow down and use extra caution while passing the construction crews.
