Philly Pretzel Factory is putting down new roots in the Tampa Bay area, and this time, ice cream is coming along for the ride, writes Madalyn Blair for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Bensalem-based chain is set to open its first Tampa location, another sign of the brand’s steady march beyond its Philadelphia roots.
A New Storefront in South Tampa
Construction on the new shop, located at 4231 W Kennedy Boulevard in South Tampa, is slated to begin this month. Maggie Bates, the company’s director of project management, shared that the Tampa residents can expect a late summer/early fall opening date.
Founded in 1998, Philly Pretzel Factory has grown from a single Philadelphia shop into a national brand boasting more than 175 locations. Florida has become a key growth market, as the company already operates four stores in the state.
