Manhunt Ends: U.S. Marshals Capture Suspect In Deadly June Shooting On Tampa Street

TAMPA, Fla. – A month-long search for a suspect in a fatal mid-June shooting ended Tuesday when federal authorities tracked down and arrested a 30-year-old man on the other side of the state.

Roosevelt Harmon was taken into custody on July 7, 2026, by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Palm Beach County. Tampa detectives had been seeking Harmon in connection with the killing of 29-year-old Kevondre Thomas during a large outdoor gathering last month.
