A heartless Florida college student was accused of child neglect after allegedly throwing her newborn in the college dorm trash can. However, she is now attempting to block a crucial testimony from the court. 19-year-old Brianna Moore was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, working in partnership with the Tampa Police Department, on April 28, 2024.
The task force found an infant’s dead body at the University of Tampa, per the official release. She is currently on trial, charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child, child neglect, unlawfully moving a dead body and failure to report the death of a child, per COURT TV.
The evidence and testimony can negate Moore’s defense
The defense filed a motion on Monday, July 6, requesting the court not to allow the testimony of a police officer who allegedly watched surveillance footage, which is currently destroyed, of the accused walking around on campus before the incident. The police officer allegedly claimed that the defendant “appeared to him to be ‘clearly pregnant’ before the incident.”
Moore has not pleaded guilty to any charges and has maintained that she wasn’t aware of her pregnancy. The defense has argued that everyone who met with her during her pregnancy “uniformly deny that they perceived her as pregnant, and they also uniformly deny that she appeared to perceive herself as pregnant.”…
