BRANDON, Fla. (WFLA) — Around 100 senior residents received a refresher course in hurricane preparedness specifically tailored for seniors’ needs on Monday.
“To target this population is critical for us,” said Rob Herrin with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
Herrin said seniors can sometimes face more obstacles during emergencies.
