Out with the old biscuit, in with the new biscuit. Carrollwood and Riverview’s Maple Street Biscuit Company locations are set to become a new Biscuit Belly location next year, on the back of Cracker Barrel selling the Nashville-based chain to the smaller breakfast-focused franchise.
Cracker Barrel and Biscuit Belly announced the sale this week, with Biscuit Belly converting Maple Street locations into the new concept over the next 18-24 months. The company said the Tampa area locations switches are expected to take place in Q1 of 2027.
Biscuit Belly is not dissimilar from Maple Street, offering southern comfort breakfast foods. However, they do up the game with a more brunchy vibe thanks to their breakfast cocktails, including espresso martinis, Bloody Marys, old fashioneds and more.
Biscuit Belly, with 15 locations across the Southeast, is known for its “bonuts,” which are a biscuit version of donut holes. Other highlights include pancake corndogs, fried green tomatoes, and their signature biscuit sandwiches.
