Tampa man who traveled to meet minor caught with hatchet, meth in vehicle: police

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — Police arrested a Tampa man in Lakeland on human trafficking and drug charges after he allegedly traveled to meet who he believed to be a teenage girl.

According to the Tampa Police Department, Fozi Nagi Al-Zokari, 48, initiated a text conversation with an undercover detective on July 14 in response to a post of what he believed to be a parent trying to prostitute their 14-year-old daughter.

The suspect and the detective communicated for multiple days, during which police said Al-Zokari agreed to travel to Lakeland and pay $200 to sexually abuse the child…
