Florida Trooper Injured In Tampa Hit-And-Run Crash As Blue Sedan Fled The Scene

TAMPA, Fla. – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper suffered minor injuries Thursday morning after a hit-and-run driver cut off a cruiser on Fowler Avenue, triggering a chain-reaction crash.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 3, 2026, just west of Club Drive. According to a crash report, a state trooper was driving a marked patrol car eastbound on Fowler Avenue ahead of an eastbound Nissan Altima driven by an 18-year-old woman from New Port Richey.
