Dover Woman Facing Theft Warrant Arrested In Lakeland After Tossing Crack Pipe, Polk Deputies Say

LAKELAND, Fla. — A Dover woman wanted on theft charges picked up three new felony and misdemeanor offenses Wednesday afternoon after deputies said she tried to discard drug paraphernalia mid-arrest.

Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office tracked down 59-year-old Angel Denise Almodovar around 12:14 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2026, at a home on Texas Avenue in Lakeland. Almodovar had an active warrant out for three counts of felony petit theft.

While deputies were taking her into custody, Almodovar reached into her bra, pulled out an object, and hurled it across the road, according to the arrest report…
