TAMPA, Fla. — A stretch of South Dale Mabry Highway is down to fewer lanes Friday as city utility crews complete maintenance work on the local water system.
The outside northbound lane of South Dale Mabry Highway is currently shut down between West Mango Avenue and Yardarm Drive. According to the Tampa Water Department, the closure is necessary while crews carry out additional maintenance on the city’s water distribution system.
Work crews have set up signs and barricades throughout the work zone to direct drivers around the closure and keep traffic moving. City officials advise drivers heading through the area to use extra caution or take alternate routes to avoid slowdowns.
