HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County’s cold weather shelter program moved a step closer to securing sites for the 2027 fiscal year on Tuesday, as all eight applicant organizations passed every county requirement during an evaluation committee meeting.
The evaluation session covered Request for Quotes RFQ-26-00418, which establishes partnerships with local groups to shelter residents during freezing temperatures. Assigned county buyer Victor Gonzalez opened the meeting and reminded participants that formal county procurement guidelines remained in effect.
