TAMPA, Fla. — ZooTampa at Lowry Park is launching a four-week event series this November geared toward visitors aged 65 and older, featuring discounted admission, animal care talks, and park activities.
The program, dubbed Senior Sundays presented by Humana, runs on Nov. 1, 8, 15, and 22. It includes a buy-one, get-one-free general admission ticket promotion for older adults, along with an educational scavenger hunt focused on animal facts and conservation stories.
Each Sunday highlights a different conservation topic presented by the zoo’s animal care professionals:
- Nov. 1: Co-existing with wildlife, focusing on African elephants
- Nov. 8: Rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts involving orangutans
- Nov. 15: Regional conservation featuring Florida wildlife and the fStop Foundation
- Nov. 22: Local efforts centered on shorebird stewardship
Zoo representatives say the series aims to offer interactive experiences that connect older visitors with wildlife protection efforts while allowing them to tour the grounds at a relaxed pace…
